In this magazine report we are going to talk about the food in the city of Irapuato. Irapuato is a city located in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. Irapuato has a lot of food culture because it was a Spanish city and also because a lot of different people live here, like the Japanese that came because of the new Mazda Factory, or like the American people that came because of the General Motors Factory. We hope you enjoy reading this magazine report and that you learn about the best and local restaurants that make Irapuato be distinguished of other cities and places.

We went to a lot of places that we thought make Irapuato the best city in Mexico for eating and tasting new things. Now we are going to give a list of the best restaurants that are located in Irapuato and we are going to tell you why we think they deserve to be on the list.

The House of Strawberries is a good place to get the famous fruit of Irapuato, it is located in the boulevard Lázaro Cárdenas # 850. It is a big store which you can found easyly because of its big strawberry on a pole outside the store. In here you can eat crystallized, frozen, with chocolate, and with cream strawberries. There are also jams and many strawberry products, as ice cream, water, milk Shakes, etc. It is a very good place to eat some good strawberries, and it is not very expensive.

Raspados Don Ramón are the most famous raspados (like a frappe but with fruit inside) in Irapuato they are located in the street Enrique Colunga # 275 in front of the Park of the Carmelitas here you can buy some very good raspados of many flavors such as vainilla , chocolate, mango, and almost all kinds of fruits, also you can buy dorilocos (doritos chips with lemon juice, sauce, jicama, nuts, and you can add whatever you want).

If you want an ice cream you definitely should go to the Jabe Ice Creams one of the most famous ice creams in Irapuato they are very cheap and delicious, they are located in many places in Irapuato you can have vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, angel kiss, mamey, cheese, walnutt , etc diferent kind of flavors.. There are a lot of these ice creams shops, you can ask in the street to the closest one.

If you are looking for some hot dogs you definitely have two options which are the best two hot dogs shops in Irapuato, the Don Jaimon or the ones that are located in front of "La Comercial", the Don Jaimon are located in the Avenida Reforma Deportiva Norte #2170 in here the hot dogs are served with onion, tomato, chile. What make them famous and delicious is that there are added ruffles and yellow melted cheese. The hot dogs of la Commercial, are like a regular hot dog with tomatoes, onion, bacon, and the dressings you like, but they are really good too. I would recommend the Don Jaimon ones.

If you are looking for tacos, Irapuato is the city of the tacos, there are lots of tacos, the best and famous ones are, Arturo, Campestre, Penguins, Furber, Sammy, and la Glorieta. If you want you have to go to one of these. You can ask in the street where they are, most of the people should know.

If you are looking for a expensive and really good and elegant restaurant, you should go to the Argentino located in Plaza Murano Here you eat very delicious, you can have American food, traditional or new, Asian, Italian, Latin, Mexican, sea food, etc.

If you are looking for some sea food, you should go to Mariscos Pepe, I would say they are the most famous and good, they are located in Adolfo López Mateos 1460, Los Presidentes, 36550 Irapuato, GTO and they are a little expensive but it is really good.

Alaburguer: If you like hamburgers, hot dogs and wings. This is the best place for you. Here you can find a lot of delicious food for a cheap price. They have many combos that where you can choose from. They are located in Estadio Sergio Leon Chavez Local 52, Gamez, Irapuato, C.P.36650, Gto.

Tapioca: frappes, milkshakes, snacks. When you want to eat a snack you can visit here. You can go with you friends and have a nice time. You can find it in Av Heroes De Nacozari 1710, Las Heras, Irapuato, C.P. 36640, Gto.

Parripollo: A delicious place where you can eat chicken. This is the most delicious chicken of the whole city, and you can go with all your family. There is also a space for children where they can play. They are located at plaza Murano, near the Ergentino.

Con Sabor a Café: This is a coffee shop very popular in the city. You can go and eat a delicious baguette with a fresh orange juice and an extraordinary dessert. Or if you want you may drink a cup of coffee while you are chatting with a friend. It is located at Plaza Delta.

El Oasis de la Cruz: Have you ever eaten tortas ahogadas? These are the best! It Is a restaurant where you can go with your family at any time. If you visit this place, we also recommend you to eat the tacos ahogados. Prol. Guerrero #2525.

Quesadillas el Comal or las Palomas: An excellent place to have a breakfast. Huge and really good quesadillas. These quesadillas are handmade. Can you imagine the excellent flavor? If you want to go they are located in the Blvd. Mariano J. Garcia.

El Rincón de la Arrachera: Meat, cheese, tortillas. We recommend you this restaurant if you want to eat Arrac hera with all your family and for a good price. You can eat as more as you can. This restaurant is also located in the Blvd. Mariano J. Garcia.
